'Storybook Nostalgia' Window Display Art
As part of our carnival weekend, we'd like to brighten up the village with displays of your favourite Children's story book or characters in your front windows. These will form part of our Treasure Hunt on Sunday 4th May, so would especially like entries along the parade route and throughout Winterbourne Down.
Let your imagination run wild as you create your display.

What is your favourite children's book or character? Is it a classic, or more recent one?
Here's a couple of ideas to help you:
- Paddington Bear
- Winnie The Pooh
- Peter Rabbit & friends or any of the Beatrix Potter books & characters
- Gruffalo or any of the Julia Donaldson books & characters
- The Very Hungry Caterpillar
- Marvel Characters
- Gangsta Granny or any of the David Walliams books & characters
- Dr Seuss books
- Harry Potter
- Enid Blyton
We've provided some links to other window displays below, but you could:
- Draw/paint a picture and place it in the window
- Use tracing paper to allow the picture to be see through
- Make a silhouette and place in the window
- A simple character or a scene
The display will mainly be seen during the day, so please make them bright to be seen in the sunshine that we've booked for the weekend.
No registration required this year, nor will there be a competition, its just for fun
